Swimming Wins PIAA District 12 Class AAA Boy's Team Championship

The La Salle College High School Swimming Team captured the third consecutive Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) District 12 Class AAA Boys Team Championship on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at La Salle University.
La Salle finished in first place with a total of 601 team points, ahead of second place St. Joseph Preparatory School with 466 points. The Explorers won multiple races during the weekend, including the 400 freestyle relay. The team of Sean Regan, David Speese, Joe Maginnis, & Chris Szekely finished the relay in 3:07:88, over 5 seconds faster than the 2nd place finisher.
Just a few weeks earlier, La Salle captured its 23rd consecutive Philadelphia Catholic League (PCL) Swimming Championship.
The Explorers now advance to the PIAA State Championships which will be held March 18-19, 2011 at Bucknell University.
