La Salle College High School Varsity Tennis Team won the first annual Philadelphia Mayor's Cup. The tournament took place on Saturday, March 12, 2011 and Sunday, March 13, 2011 at the Arthur Ashe Tennis Center in the East Falls section of Philadelphia.

La Salle College High School Varsity Tennis Team won the first annual Philadelphia Mayor's Cup. The tournament took place on Saturday, March 12, 2011 and Sunday, March 13, 2011 at the Arthur Ashe Tennis Center in the East Falls section of Philadelphia. This year was the inaugural year for the tournament, and there were seven teams invited, some from the Philadelphia Catholic League (PCL) and some other area independent schools.

The Explorers first round match was against Father Judge High School, and La Salle won by default. La Salle then faced Penn Charter High School and won 5-2. The Explorers returned on Sunday morning and played Friends Central High School. La Salle won 4–3 to capture the inaugural Mayor's Cup championship. An important win for the Explorers came from the #1 doubles team, R.J. Napolitano and Rich Danze and the decisive win coming from the #1 singles player Christian Lutschaunig.
