Swimmers Finish 2nd Overall and Capture State Championships in Medley Relay and Breaststroke
Swimmers from La Salle College High School finished first in the Medley Relay and Breaststroke at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) State Championships on Friday, March 18 and Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Bucknell University.

Swimmers from La Salle College High School finished first in the 200 Team Medley Relay and 100 Breaststroke at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) State Championships on Friday, March 18 and Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Bucknell University. The Explorers also finished in 2nd Place overall in the team standings.

The Medley Relay team of Joe Maginnis '13, David Speese '11, Luke Maguire '12, and Eric Schultz '12 finished first in the state with a time of 1:31.94. Their time in the finals set a new PIAA state record. This was the first state title for La Salle Swimming which entered the PIAA in 2008.

Senior David Speese '11 won the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 55.95 seconds which is a new team record. He is the first individual state champion for the Explorers.

As a team, La Salle finished second in the state with 228 points.
