La Salle College High School has hired Tom Madden '95 as the new head coach for the La Salle Rowing Program.

La Salle College High School has hired Tom Madden '95 as the new head coach of the La Salle Rowing Program. Madden served as an assistant coach for La Salle in 2006 under former head coach Chris Holwick, helping coach the Varsity Lightweight 8+ to a 4th place finish in the Stotesbury Cup Regatta.

Most recently, Coach Madden served as the Director of Rowing and Men's Head Coach at The Ohio State University since 2010. He joined the Buckeyes in 2006 as the Men's Freshman/Novice Coach.

During his time as a student at La Salle, Madden was a four-time Philadelphia City Champion and three-time Philadelphia Catholic League Champion as a member of the LSCHS Crew Team. He also was a silver and bronze medalist in the Stotesbury Cup Regatta.

During his collegiate career at Saint Joseph's University, he was a member of Varsity Lightweight 8 that won the Knecht Cup, Atlantic 10 Invitational (Atlantic 10 Champion) and the Dad Vail Regatta. He finished the season by participating in the Temple Challenge Cup at the Henley Royal Regatta, Henley, England. Advanced to the round of 16 after starting with 70 entries in the event.
