The La Salle College High School Varsity Soccer Team defeated Public League Champion George Washington High School 3-0 on Thursday, November 3rd, 2011 to win the District 12 City Championship for the 1st time in school history. By winning the District 12 Title, the Explorers advance to the PIAA AAA State Tournament.

Darius Madison scored two goals for La Salle and goalkeeper Leonardo Romero picked up his 16th shutout of the season, breaking the school record for shutouts in a season.

The Explorers are currently 19-1 on the season and will face defending state champions Hempfield High School on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 5 PM at Northeast High School.

La Salle won the PCL Championship 2-1 in sudden death overtime on Tuesday, November 2nd. Click Here for a full recap and video highlights of the championship game.
