Former La Salle College High School Cross Country Runner Dan Lowry '08 was named All-American at the 2011 Division I Cross Country Championships the weekend of November 19, 2011.

Dan finished 28th in a field of 252 competitors in the event hosted at Indiana State University. The top 40 finishers earned All-American status.

He is the first La Salle Alumnus to earn D1 All-American in cross country since Seamus McElligott in 1990 and it was the highest finish by a Brown male since 1988.

Lowry, a First Team All-Ivy selection, came off a third place finish (31:21.1) at the NCAA Northeast Regionals in Buffalo on Nov. 13. In the National Championsips, he ran an outstanding time of 29:57.2 on the 10,000-meter course and became an All-American.
