The La Salle College High School Varsity AAA Hockey Team defeated Holy Ghost Prep 6-3 on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 to win their 2nd consecutive Flyers Cup Championship and fourth title in the past five seasons.

The Explorers scored 5 second period goals to take a 5-0 lead after two periods. Tim Feoli led the offense with two goals, and goalie Nick DeSimone added 23 saves between the pipes. Click Here for a full game recap.

The Explorers have won six of the 33 Flyers Cup championships, second-most to Malvern Prep. They defeated Cardinal O'Hara, 8-2, in the semifinals.

The Explorers improve to 23-2 on the season and are undefeated in league play, outscoring opponents 102-23 in 15 league games this season. Next up for the squad is the Pennsylvania State Championship game Sunday, March 26th at Robert Morris University Island Sports Center (7600 Grand Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15225).
