Distance Medley Relay Team Sets New School Record at Penn Relays
The La Salle 4x400 relay of Andrew Stone, Tom Coyle, Jack Magee, and Mike DeCandido (Levi Hardy, alternate) also won the Philadelphia Catholic League 4x400m Relay at the Penn Relays in a season best of 3:24.64.

The La Salle College High School Track & Field Team's Distance Medley Relay Team finished 3rd in the nation at the Championship of America at the Penn Relays on Friday, April 27, 2012. Their time of 10.10.76 also set a new La Salle College High School record in the event by more than two seconds. The previous record was set in 1983.

(Times: Andrew Stone (3:05.4), Mike DeCandido (50.8), Jack Magee (2:02.5), Tom Coyle (4:12.1) with Coach Bielecki)



The La Salle 4x400 relay of Andrew Stone, Tom Coyle, Jack Magee, and Mike DeCandido (Levi Hardy, alternate) also won the Philadelphia Catholic League 4x400m Relay at the Penn Relays in a season best of 3:24.64.

The team started with an outstanding 50.1 leadoff leg from Stone, and then 2 strong legs from Coyle and Magee. DeCandido received the baton in second and kicked to the victory in front of the large crowd of more than 30,000 spectators.
