Over 1,000 Explorers Come To Campus For Homecoming Festivities

The tradition of Homecoming continued at La Salle College High School on September 14-15, 2012. Over 1,000 people visited the campus during the activity-packed weekend.

The inaugural induction of the Hall of Athletics on Friday evening acknowledged the accomplishments of two heralded athletes, two long-time coaches, and two successful teams.

Saturday morning saw the formal dedication of Sterner Hall in memory of Brother Rene Sterner, FSC , the long-time President of La Salle College High School.

Down on Bartley Field, the Varsity Soccer Team took on cross-state rival and a fellow Christian Brother's school, Central Catholic High from Pittsburgh, while the Freshman Football team played Cardinal O'Hara on Flannery Field.

Later in the afternoon, a Family BBQ was held on the school's newest athletic fields and featured music by the Pep Band and appearance by the No. 1 ranked Varsity Football team in Southeastern Pennsylvania as they walked from the locker room down to Springfield Township Stadium.

The culmination of Homecoming Weekend was the Varsity Football game against Cardinal O'Hara, which La Salle won by a score of 38-6.
