On the day, Picard was 4-for-4 with a walk, three runs scored and six RBI. The #1 Seed Explorers will now play #2 Seed St. Joseph's Prep on Tuesday at Immaculata University in the semifinal round of the PCL championship.

La Salle College High School Varsity Left Fielder and leadoff hitter Joe Picard hit for the cycle in the Explorers 11-8 win over Archbishop Wood in the PCL Quarterfinals on May 17, 2013. According to Ted Silary of the Philadelphia Daily News, it was the 1st cycle in Philadelphia Catholic League playoff history.

Picard led off the game with a double, added a 3-run triple in the 2nd inning, a 4th inning single, and capped it off with a 3-run 325 foot homerun to give the Explorers the lead in the bottom of the 6th inning. On the day, Picard was 4-for-4 with a walk, three runs scored and six RBI.
