La Salle Crew Finishes Scholastic Season With A National Championship Crew
La Salle College High School Crew followed up a very successful Stotesbury performance by competing in the Scholastic Rowing Association of America's National Championship. Unlike the Stotesbury Cup Regatta, which any high school program can enter a boat, the SRAA National's is a race in which crews must qualify from their performance in another regatta. This is an even higher level of competition and the Explorer's were one of only three high schools to qualify in each of the five 8's races (V8, 2V8, Lwt8, JV8 & F8).
Four of the five progressed through the 28+ entries in each of their respective events to the finals:
- Freshman 8 - Bronze
- Lightweight 8 - 6th place
- 2nd Varsity 8 - Gold, SRAA National Champions
- Varsity 8 - 3rd in the petite final

To finish off the season, the Varsity 8 and Varsity Lightweight 8 have been invited to attend US Rowing's Youth National Championship, June 7th-9th in Oak Ridge, TN. This event includes Junior club programs in addition to high school Scholastic programs.
It is a very prestigious regatta and both crews are looking forward to testing their speed against the fastest Junior and Scholastic crews in the country. For more on Youth Nationals please visit their website.
