Chris Jastrzembski '14, Multimedia Production student and Executive Producer for WEXP TV & the Sports Information Club, was recently selected for the KYW's Newstudies Program.

Since 1968, KYW Newsradio has given high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to learn about the inner workings of a major market radio station with the Newstudies student reporter program.

For six Saturdays in the fall, students head to the KYW Newsradio studios to learn newswriting, reporting, ethics and interviewing skills from station managers, editors, reporters, anchors and guest speakers. Then they research, write and record news stories about their school and community.

As a part of the program, Chris toured KYW Studios, 94.1 WIP Studios and the CBS3 TV Studio. He also had the opportunity to produce a radio news story for KYW 1060 AM.

Chris's news story about the La Salle College High School International Student Program will air on KYW News Radio 1060 AM Tuesday, November 26th at 9:24 PM. You can also listen to Chris's story here
