Multimedia Production courses offered in the La Salle College High School Computer Science Department now give the students the opportunity to become an Adobe Certified Associate in Adobe Premiere Pro. These newly offered Adobe Certifications build upon the success of La Salle's Microsoft Certification offerings.

Students enrolled in the Multimedia Production Course for the first Semester of the 2013-14 School Year were the first course in which Adobe certification tests could be taken at La Salle upon the completion of the course.

The Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) Certification is an entry-level certification aimed at validating communication skills using a particular digital medium. An individual with the ACA is armed with the credentials to get summer internships, a first job out of school, or credit for college-level programs in design, web, or rich media.

The ACA certification will also distinguish students as a candidate for upper level production courses offered here at La Salle College High School.

Our Microsoft IT Academy has already certified 100s of students over the past few years through our partnership with Microsoft and Certiport and now our Multimedia Production students will have the same opportunities for certification.

La Salle College High School is a Certiport Certified Testing Center, a rare designation for a high school and one of the only high school testing centers in the Mid-Atlantic region.

La Salle will also be offering Adobe Certification Courses during the summer in Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and InDesign for boys and girls entering 7th grade through college level.

The two week summer courses will benefit students with an interest in print design, photography, web design, and video production, especially students with interest in a career multimedia production or involved with a school's yearbook, newspaper, TV station, and Website.
