Matt Zielinski '06 Selected for All-Star Game

Matt Zielinski '06, a southpaw starting pitcher for the Somerset Patriots in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball Clubs, was selected for the All-Star Game that will be held in Sugar Land, TX on July 16, 2014. Zielinski, who led La Salle College High School to the Philadelphia Catholic League Championship in 2005 and went on to star for the University of Richmond, has a record of 7-2 and leads the Atlantic League with an ERA of 2.79. He has struck out 51 batters in 77 innings this season for the Patriots, who lead the Atlantic League with a record of 46-23 and are the first team to qualify for the 2014 Atlantic League Playoffs by clinching the Atlantic League Liberty Division First Half Championship.
