On Tuesday night, September 9, 2014, the auditorium at La Salle College High School was packed with parents of the Class of 2015 who were attending the College Counseling Department's Senior Parent Q & A Night. Parents were asked to submit questions in advance, and the College Counselors addressed those questions in their overall presentation. Mr. Gerard Brett, the Director of College Counseling, began the evening with an introduction of the staff and the breadth of their experience in the field of College Admissions. He also explained the importance of communication and the roles of the student, parents, and College Counseling Department in the application process. Mrs. Marla Stalone-Johnson, Associate Director of College Counseling, discussed the college admissions timeline in detail and how the students should use Naviance to sign up to meet with any of the 120+ college representatives who will visit La Salle this fall. Mr. Jim Sawyer, Associate Director of College Counseling, reviewed information regarding SATs and ACTs, the difference between Early Action, Early Decision, Regular Admission, and Rolling Admission as well as the electronic submission of applications. After the formal presentation, the floor was then opened to additional questions. For more information, please visit the College Counseling Department's website:
