Ministry and Service Team Hosts Student Leadership Night

On Thursday, October 15, 2015, twenty-three ministry and service student leaders and their moderators Mount Saint Joseph's Academy, Gwynedd Mercy Academy, Saint Joseph's prep, and La Salle College High School gathered at La Salle the for an evening of prayer, discussion, sharing of best practices, and fellowship. The evening, planned and organized by La Salle's Ministry and Service Leadership Team was a unique opportunity for the schools to come together and build on their programs strengths. The evening began with a welcome by Joe Cuce '16 asking the questions, "why are YOU here?" and "why are WE here?" Joe's welcome and comments by Brother James Butler FSC were followed by an icebreaker led by Nick Camusi '16 in which the student leaders were able to informally get to know one another.
A highlight of the evening was a talk on leadership given by Meg Kane, Vice President at Brian Communications. She challenged the student leaders to "think big" and to collaborate on ideas. She also emphasized the significant impact her Catholic education has had on her personal and professional life. The evening concluded with a prayer service led by Mount Saint Joseph's Academy.
