After a tough loss to eventual state champion St. Joseph's Prep in the PCL championship, La Salle will look to regain that PCL crown against their rival.
Head Coach John Steinmetz listed his keys to the season to finding success on each side of the ball. For the offense "the senior leadership on the offensive line and the speed at the WR position." The defensive side of the ball is the "experience returning seven starters, however, there is a lot of competition and many positions." As for special teams, "Karrash has a strong leg and experience from last season."
The team will be challenged with a tough out of conference schedule. Opening against North Penn High School, followed by McDonogh and lastly Malvern Prep. These games will only help La Salle get better and be prepared for all Catholic League games but especially for the last two games when they go head to head against rival St. Joes Prep and Archbishop Wood.
With all this being said it obviously will not be an easy season. However, according to Steinmetz "if we stay healthy, continue to improve each week, and play as a team I think we have a chance to be a good team." La Salle football fans get ready for the opener and if you can not make it out to the game check the website or La Salle's twitter page for updates on the team.
