Golf Team Repeats As Philadelphia Catholic League Champions

The Explorers have won eighteen of the last twenty-two championships.


On Tuesday, October 4, 2016, La Salle College High School successfully defended their title by winning the Philadelphia Catholic League Championship in Golf. The Explorers, who were undefeated in the regular season, posted three of the Top 5 scores in route to a 472-482 victory over Saint Joseph's Prep and Bonner-Prendergast (507). It was the 14th time that La Salle has won the Philadelphia Catholic League Golf Championship since 2000. All eight La Salle golfers who played received All-Catholic honors - Buddy Hansen '18 (76), Frankie Gregor '19 (76), T.J. Chaykosky '18 (77), Tim Lorenzo '18 (80), Steve Lorenzo '20 (81), Matt Acker '18 (82), Brent Schoeller '17 (82), and Ryan O'Neill '18 (83).

La Salle moves on to play in the District 12 (City) Championships on October 11, 2016 at Meadowlands Country Club in Blue Bell, PA.
