La Salle Community Celebrates "FSC Week"

The school community celebrated the core values of a Lasallian education with a variety of activities.

In commemoration of our Lasallian heritage and core values, La Salle College High School celebrated "FSC Week" from April 24-28, 2017. The school community celebrated these values with different activities sponsored by the Ministry and Service Team, Sophomore Student Council, Religion Department, and the Human Rights Club. Highlights of the week included:

Monday, April 24, 2017
The day focused on the core value of quality education. The Ministry and Service Leadership Team woke up extra early to prepare breakfast for faculty and staff which featured waffles, bacon, donuts, bagels, etc...

Thursday, April 27, 2017
The day focused on the core value of inclusive community. Students were greeted by talented musicians at the Main Entrance. Each class period started with a school wide mission based prayer written by seniors in the Living the Mission class. In addition, the school gathered for the annual Founder's Prayer Service in which Mrs. Gedeik reflected on her experiences at La Salle and Mr. Gillespie was recognized as Lasallian Educator of the Year.

Friday, April 28, 2017
The day focused on Faith in the Presence of God. Religion classes gathered in the Marian Chapel for prayer services.

Throughout the week, WEXP segments and a collection for the Blessed Margaret Castello Crisis Pregnancy Home focused on the core values of Concern for Poor and Social Justice and Respect for All Persons.
