La Salle's "Lab Band 1," under the direction of Dennis Wasko, received a rating of "Outstanding" while competing in the same division as the "Competition Band." A third band from La Salle, "Lab Band 2," which is also directed by Dennis Wasko, competed in the Woody Herman Division on Friday evening, April 28, 2017 at Chichester High School. Dennis Wasko was recognized on Saturday evening as "Band Director of the Year." La Salle College High School finished the year with two of the Top Ten Bands in the Delaware Valley with the Competition Band being ranked No. 1.
