"La Salle Responds" - So Much More Than A Dress Down Day

"La Salle Responds" - So Much More Than A Dress Down Day

This Lasallian Initiative has raised over $40,000 for more than 60 different organizations.

JohnsonR@LSCHS.ORG

"La Salle Responds" is much more than an opportunity for students, faculty and the administration to "dress down" on an otherwise normal school day. Rather, it is a school-wide community directed program whereby students and faculty can request, and ultimately decide where and how the funds from those dress down days will be distributed. This unique concept came to fruition several years ago as a natural extension of further engaging the community in every aspect of giving back to the causes that have personal meaning to them.

Rather than distributing all of the funds from one of the annual six dress down days to a specific organization, applications for program funds are submitted by anyone in the La Salle community, then reviewed and approved by a committee of faculty and students. As a result, last year La Salle Responds donated over $40,000 to more than 60 different organizations.

If you are a member of the La Salle community and have an organization or cause that is personally meaningful to you, simply stop by Campus Ministry, fill out an application providing a brief explanation of the organization, your relationship, and reason for your request and the La Salle Responds committee will take it from there. Together we can touch the lives of those who need it most.
