Lacrosse Program Celebrates 25 Years

The Lacrosse program celebrated twenty-five years with a reunion and festivities on Saturday, May 14, 2016.

Over 175 parents and former players attended a series of events and festivities on Saturday, May 14, 2016 to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Lacrosse program at La Salle College High School. The day began with a Varsity Lacrosse game against Radnor on the new turf filed field, which the Explorers triumphed 6-1. Alumni gathered on the field after the game and a BBQ followed. La Salle lacrosse jerseys dating back to the inaugural season were on display as were the nineteen Philadelphia Catholic League Championship plaques (1993, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, and 2014) and the four Pennsylvania State Championship trophies (2004, 2008, 2009, and 2013). In addition, teams photos and other memorabilia were on display and a variety of gear and sportswear was for sale. Head Coach Bill Leahy gave a brief presentation during which he addressed the attendees and thanked his players and coaching staff. The presentation concluded with a video commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the program.
