Sharing the Gift of Holiday Music
Music students performed Christmas Carols for two local organizations on Monday, December 18.

On Monday, December 18, thirty members of the 5th Period Band and Advanced Chorus classes shared the gift of holiday music with the elderly and preschool children at Mercy Neighborhood Ministries in North Philadelphia, and the residents of Holy Family Nursing Home in West Philadelphia. Both programs incorporated a segment of "jazzy" classic Christmas tunes, and choral section of traditional and contemporary songs, and then a combined sing along with the audience.
Both programs were overwhelmingly received by young and old alike, as La Salle students actively engaged with both groups throughout the program, and in particular bringing a smile to the faces of the often time forgotten elderly in our community. This was a gift given in the true meaning of Christmas. #LeaveToServe
