Soccer Team Wins 2nd Consecutive Catholic League Championship

The win was the 9th PCL Championship in program history.

The La Salle College High School Varsity Soccer Team defeated Roman Catholic 1-0 on October 30, 2017 to win the program's 2nd consecutive Philadelphia Catholic League Championship and 9th PCL Title in program history (1993, 1994, 2000, 2005, 2006, 2011, 2012, 2016, 2017).

Senior Jacob Mittman knocked in a rebound off a free kick with just under 10 minutes left in regulation. All-Catholic goalkeeper Brett Werner notched another shutout for the clean sheet.

La Salle becomes the 1st repeat PCL champions since 2011 & 2012 - also won by the Explorers.

The team will now face Public League Champion Northeast High School on Thursday for the PIAA District XII AAAA Championship and will then head to the PIAA State Playoffs.
