Student-Athletes Sign Letters Of Commitment On National Signing Day
Spencer Patton '17 and Syaire Madden '17 officially signed their National Letters of Intent on Wednesday, February 1st on National Signing Day.
La Salle College High School student-athletes Spencer Patton '17 and Syaire Madden '17 officially signed their National Letters of Intent on Wednesday, February 1st on National Signing Day.
Patton, a forward on the Varsity Soccer Team, will be attending the University of Virginia. During his time at La Salle, Patton was a three-year varsity player and was the 2016 team captain. His accolades include two first team All-Catholic and one second team All-Catholic selections as well as the the Pennsylvania All-State team and 1st team All-Southeastern PA this season.
Spencer scored 28 goals and had 25 assists in his career. As a senior, Spencer had 6 goals and 11 assists to help the Explorers win the 2016 Philadelphia Catholic League and PIAA District 12 championships.
Varsity Running Back Madden will be attending St. Francis University. The 2016 Catholic League Red Division MVP was a 1st-Team All-Catholic selection this season. In 11 games this season, Madden led La Salle will 167 rushes for 1,511 yards and 16 TDs.
In 12 games in 2015, he led La Salle with 1213 yards and 14 TDs helping the Explorers win the Philadelphia Catholic League Championship.
