On Tuesday evening, May 2, 2017, over 300 members of the sophomore and junior classes, along with their families gathered in the Lourdes Grotto on the campus of La Salle College High School for the annual Summer Service Commissioning Prayer Service.

This summer, students will be performing a week of service in such diverse locations as Appalachia, Navajo Reservations in Arizona and New Mexico, New Orleans, Saint Lucia, Puerto Rico, Chicago, the Coachella Valley, the Bronx, and right here in our own community of Philadelphia.

As impressive as the number may sound, it is even more impressive to note that this represents over 50% of their class, and that there are no mandatory requirements for service at La Salle. In addition, these young men raised all of the funds necessary to support their individual trips.

You can follow our students all summer long on our Social Media Channels - www.facebook.com/LSCHS, www.twitter.com/LSCHS and www.instagram.com/LSCHS.
