Swim Team Finishes As State Runner-Up In 2017 PIAA Championships

Team captain Jake Sannem '17 was named Swimmer of the Meet at Bucknell University.

Congratulations to the La Salle Swim and Diving Team on a terrific 2016 – 2017 season!

The PIAA AAA State Championship concluded on Sunday March 26th. Due to a snow storm, the state championship had to be rescheduled. La Salle competed over 2 weekends: March 18th, 19th, and 26th. The team recently received its 2nd Place Trophy for an excellent runner up performance at Bucknell in the state championship.

Team captain Jake Sannem '17 was named Swimmer of the Meet as a result of a remarkable state meet.

The All State Swimmers are:

· 200 Medley Relay: John Klein '17, Evan Parkhill '19, Jacob Lubinski '17, Andrew Pave '20

· 200 Freestyle: Jake Sannem '17

· 100 Fly: Jacob Lubinski '17, John Klein '17

· 200 Free Relay: Jake Sannem '17, Sam Grossi '18, Liam Smith '20, Liam Duffy '17

· 100 Back: John Klein '17

· 500 Free: Jake Sannem '17

· 400 Free Relay: Liam Smith '20, Liam Duffy '17, Jacob Lubinski '17, Jake Sannem '17

Congratulations to Will Seely '19 who competed in the 1 Meter Diving competition at States. He placed 16th and earned the first La Salle PIAA State Championship diving point in school history!
