Three Explorers Receive Medals at MCATFL Oral Proficiency Contest

Nine students represented La Salle College High School to compete for medals in Chinese, French and Spanish.

On February 28, 2017, 142 students from Montgomery County converged on Plymouth Whitemarsh High School for the annual Montgomery County Association of Teachers of Foreign Languages Oral Proficiency Contest.

Nine students represented La Salle College High School to compete for medals in Chinese, French and Spanish. They also participated in the cultural trivia contest and placed second among all the schools competing.


Three students won medals:

Freshman Andrew Talone won silver in Spanish 1;

Senior Nicholas Armetta won a gold medal for Advanced Spanish.

Freshman Dominic DeSantis won silver in Chinese 1;
