Tucker Durkin '09 Named Head Lacrosse Coach at Bryn Athyn College

Durkin was a member of the 2009 PIAA State Champion lacrosse team.

La Salle College High School Alumnus Tucker Durkin '09 was recently named Men's Lacrosse Head Coach at Bryn Athyn College.

Durkin attended Johns Hopkins University, where he started all 59 games over his four-year career. He was named the William C. Schmeisser Award winner for being the nation's top defensemen in his junior and senior year. The three-time NCAA All-American, totaled 127 groundballs and causing 65 turnovers in his career at Johns Hopkins.

Durkin represented Team USA at the 2014 World Championships, where he was selected as the World's Most Outstanding Defenseman and named to the All-World Team.

After playing at Johns Hopkins, he took his talents to the Major Lacrosse League. Durkin was the third overall pick in the 2013 Major League Lacrosse Collegiate Draft by the Charlotte Hounds and was later acquired by the Hamilton Nationals. Durkin was named a 2013, 2014, and 2015 All-MLL Defenseman. He currently plays for the Florida Launch in the MLL. This past season, he played in all 14 games for the Launch.

During his time at La Salle, Durkin was also a member of the 2009 PIAA State Champion lacrosse team and was a two-time US Lacrosse All-America selection, an Under Armour All-American as a senior, a two-time Pennsylvania All-State selection and a three-time All-Catholic pick.
