Admissions Info

Thank you for visiting our school web page and for expressing interest in La Salle College High School as an option for continuing your academic development.

The Latin words virtus and scientia , moral strength and knowledge, underline the school's coat of arms and serve as a beacon in defining what is expected from capable student-athletes. Founded in 1858 La Salle College High School is an independent private college preparatory school for young men in the Roman Catholic tradition of St. John Baptist de La Salle and the Brothers of the Christian Schools. Our school community strives to be successful in every aspect; therefore, we believe that a religiously-oriented education stressing Catholic values, strong academics, participation in activities and sports, service to others, and a respect for one another are the cornerstones for future success. Furthermore, Ninety Nine percent of our student-body continues their formal education at four year institutions of higher learning. The combination of an intimate and diverse (socio-economic, ethnic, & racial) campus, nationally recognized academics, and a top ten lacrosse program is an attractive situation for any prospective student.

Our lacrosse program is first class in every aspect. We have been Catholic league Champions in 1993, 1995-2002, and 2004-2010, 2012 - 2013! The La Salle Lacrosse program has earned a 403 W- 78 L overall record, and an astonishing 266 W- 4 L PCL record. La Salle lacrosse has been voted (in the state coaches poll) to the top ten every year since 1996. We have been invited to the state tournament every year since 1994 and have appeared in the quarterfinals in 1997, 1999, 2000 & 2001. In 2004, 2008, 2009 , and 2013 we won the State championship! In 2005, 2007, 2010, and 2012 we were State Finalists, and in 2006 State Final Four participants for the third year in a row. Since 1996 we have played a schedule, which is deserving of a nationally ranked program. In 2008 US Lacrosse Magazine ranked La Salle High School's lacrosse team the # 1 high school team in the United States, and in 2009 Philadelphia Magazine recognized the La Salle Lacrosse program with one of its "Best Of Philadelphia" awards.

Individually, La Salle lacrosse players have achieved unsurpassed success earning recognition as: All-Catholics (215), All-State (60), and All Americans (37). Our graduates have been heavily recruited and now play at most of the top Division I programs including the: University of Maryland, United States Naval & Army Academies, Loyola College, Villanova, Towson, Hobart College, Boston University, MOnmouth, Dartmouth, Mount Saint Mary's, St. Joseph's, Lehigh, Univ. of Pennsylvania, St. John's University, Fairfield, Dartmouth, Harvard, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Yale, Monmouth, Boston University, and Drexel. The lacrosse class of 2009 signed and received National Letters of Intent, scholarships and admissions to the following: Hopkins, Georgetown, Penn State, Maryland, Fairfield, Duke, Harvard, Notre Dame, St. John's and Lehigh. We are very proud of all of our lacrosse alumni and hope you choose to be a part of such a strongly visible and heavily recruited high school lacrosse program.

We hope that La Salle College High School's excellent reputation is of interest to you and your family.

Interested students should contact the La Salle College HIgh School Admissions Office using the link below. Students can find there all the needed information regarding the admissions process. 8th grade students can register on-line to visit for the day, apply to La Salle, and for Financial Aid all with in the the school's admission web page.

The Crease Club

The Crease Club is a parents organization dedicated to the La Salle lacrosse team players and coaches. In other words, if you are a parent of a player, YOU are the Crease Club!

Our primary purpose is to make the lacrosse experience for our boys the best it can be by organizing team meetings and socials, making sure information is readily available and distributed, and assist the coaching staff in whatever is needed for the benefit of the team.

Please check the Events Calendar for important dates such as pre-season workouts, tryout information, game schedule, parent meetings, socials, the team banquet and more.

Please keep in mind that many, if not all, schedule changes and announcements will be on the website for your convenience throughout the year. So, please check it daily as we get into the season. We will also use your e-mail address to inform you of all events and happenings! Make sure the Crease Club has your most up to date email.
