Mr. Todd Tew, Pre-Sales Engineer for Weidenhammer Systems visited La Salle College High School on Thursday, October 22, 2015.

After a brief tour of La Salle's facilities --which included a stop at the Microsoft IT Academy Wall of Achievement-- Mr. Tew met with Chief Information Officer Mr. Peter Sigmund '85 and Network and Website Administrator Mr. Braden Bonner. Mr. Tew was on campus to educate La Salle's prestigious Lab Manager's and to evaluate several Cisco implementations currently in progress in La Salle's environment.

The highlight of the visit was the chance for Mr. Tew later to speak to the award winning Lab Manager Program about both current networking standards and what a career in networking means today. The session concluded with a Q&A from Lab Managers about topics ranging from industry direction to career advice and from information technology security to Mr. Tew's career technology achievements (including the design and implementation of the network solutions at the Philadelphia Convention Center among others.)

A 17 year veteran of the information technology industry, Mr. Tew spent the first years of his career as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp where he was the Senior 4th AAV Battalion Computer Systems Specialist. He later went into the networking tests labs for GTE in their East Coast Operations center (now Verizon). Through this, he began to focus his expertise as a Cisco Engineer working for Cisco Authorized Resellers DataComm Networks and finally settling with Weidenhammer Systems. Now holds multiple high level Cisco Systems certifications including a CCNP (Cisco Certified Networking Professional) Voice, and CCDP (Cisco Certified Design Professional) - among many others.
