De La Salle Alumni Annual Fund
The theme of the 2012-2013 De La Salle Alumni Annual Fund -- "Passing the Baton" -- focuses on past generations of proud alums passing the baton onto our next generation through support of need-based financial aid and scholarships.
Why should I give?
Alums give to La Salle for all sorts of reasons... They give because they believe in St. John Baptist De La Salle's mission of offering an affordable education to all qualified students. They give because they themselves received a scholarship or financial aid while a student here, and want to pay that generosity forward. They give because they see the many success stories and accomplishments of our young Explorers, and believe in maintaining and advancing this excellence. Many give simply because of their fond memories and relationships formed while here on campus, and wish to carry this pride on to the next generation of Explorers.
Why not just raise tuition?
Because we treasure the diverse culture of our students and families. We draw students from Montgomery County, Bucks County, Delaware County, Chester County, and Philadelphia. We have parents who are bankers, lawyers, plumbers, roofers, and doctors. This mix of demographics is a key element to the La Salle experience, and is something that we believe is an integral part of the Lasallian experience.
How is the money used?
Supporting need-based financial aid and merit-based scholarships, your support of the De La Salle Annual Fund literally passes the baton onto our next generation and makes La Salle a reality for roughly 1 in 3 students. Providing need-based financial aid helps keep the true legacy of St. John Baptist de La Salle alive by providing a Lasallian education to those who otherwise would not have the opportunity. Additionally, our 31 merit-based scholarships, which include one full tuition award and six half tuition awards, help ensure that we attract the best and the brightest from the Delaware Valley. All of this support helps retain the true culture of a Lasallian school, and ensures that the baton will forever be passed on to our next generation!

Recurring - To set up a monthly or annual recurring gift linked to your credit or debit card, please print out the Annual Giving Recurring Gift Form and return it to the Office of Institutional Advancement.
Mail - De La Salle Alumni Annual Fund materials are mailed out annually in October. Simply return the self-addressed envelope with a check.
