Alumni and Friends Gather in Downtown Philadelphia to Celebrate the Presidency of Bro. Richard Kestler '60, FSC
The Pyramid Club in downtown Philadelphia proved to be a fitting venue to celebrate the presidency of Brother Richard Kestler, FSC '60. One hundred and fifty graduates and friends of La Salle College High School gathered for cocktails to toast Brother Richard and thank him for his tremendous leadership which has propelled La Salle to the pinnacle of success.
Vice President Dan McGowan welcomed the assembled guests and introduced Chairman of the Board Ben Ventresca '70 who highlighted many of Brothers achievements. He also took the opportunity to introduce the incoming president, Brother James Butler, FSC.
Brother Richard then thanked the room and reminisced about his tenure at La Salle. He shared how he will miss the students most of all but as an alumnus, he will continue to support the school and to see his many friends.
The surprise of the evening was when Michael Cassidy '74 presented a Proclamation of Achievement from the Montgomery County Commissioners Office.
