La Salle Faculty and Administration Participate in Day of Community Service to Kickoff the School Year
The La Salle College High School Faculty and Administration particpated in a Day of Community Service around the Philadelphia area on Wednesday, August 29, 2012.
Over 100 members of the La Salle Community spent time at three locations: Philabundance Hunger Relief Center, Visitation BVM Grade School, & St. Charles Boromeo Senior Center.

At Philabundance, the group boxed over 11,000 pounds of palettes of food to help the hungry in Philadelphia. The groups at Visitation and St. Charles helped with daily maintainance of the facilties and other tasks assigned by the facility leaders.
The day ended with lunch in La Salle's cafeteria and a Mass celebrated by Father Janton in which three current La Salle students shared their community service experiences with the faculty.
