Soccer - Varsity

Coach Peffle is entering his 25th year as Varsity Head Coach at La Salle College High School. Over his time at La Salle, Coach Peffle has a record of 346-98-68, has won five Philadelphia Catholic League (PCL) titles (1993, 1994, 2000, 2005, 2006), and has led the team to the playoffs in 20 consecutive seasons. During his playing career Coach Peffle was a two-time All-American at Temple Univrsity and graduated from Temple with a BS and Masters of Education.  Coach Peffle has been a member of the Mathematics Department at La Salle for the past three years after teaching previously at Frankford High School.

Coach Peffle Jr is entering his 11th year as an Assistant Coach in the Soccer program at La Salle College High School.  Coach Peffle Jr. was a co-captain on the first Philadelphia Catholic League (PCL) championship team at La Salle in 1993.  Coach Peffle Jr. was also an All-Catholic selection in both the 1992 and 1993 seasons. After graduating from La Salle in 1994, Coach Peffle Jr. played collegiatley at Drexel University. Coach Peffle Jr. graduated from Drexel with a BS in History and is currently teaching in the Philadelphia Public School system.

Coach McCaffery is entering his eigth season as a member of the soccer program. Coach McCaffery graduated from La Salle College High School in 2001. After leaving La Salle, Coach McCaffery spent time as a student manager for the soccer programs at Shenandoah and Arcadia Universities.  Coach McCaffery is currently a member of the Mathematics Department at La Salle.

Coach Romero is entering his third year as the Goal Keeping Coach at La Salle College High School.  Coach Romero was a four year varsity player during his time as a student.  As a player, Coach Romero was a two-time All-Catholic selection, won a Philadelphia Catholic League (PCL) title as a member of the 2000 team, and posted 15 shutouts in a single season which is still a school record.  Since graduating from La Salle in 2004, Coach Romero has also become a very successful club soccer coach at FC Coppa in Philadelphia.
