Admissions Overview

Each year La Salle accepts 260 qualified young men into our freshman class. Candidates seeking admission must submit a written essay, take the scholarship/entrance exam and have academic records and teacher recommendations forwarded to La Salle by Mid-December. After a full review by the admissions committee notifications are sent out. A second round of acceptances are sent out in late January. By the end of our three registration evenings in Mid-February La Salle's freshman class is usually full.

An admissions committee reviews the qualifications of each applicant to La Salle. Decisions are made on the basis of:

  • Scores on the Entrance Test
  • Academic performance in the 7th and 8th grades
  • Recommendations from teachers/counselors
  • Scores on another objective standardized test
  • Optional Interview / Community Involvement

La Salle College High School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the right, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.  It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
