La Salle College High School prides itself on being ahead of the curve as far as technology utilization in schools. Over the last few years La Salle has incorporated numerous different Social Media channels and Web 2.0 technologies to enhance our Web Communications.
Now that we have so many Social Media channels and Web 2.0 technologies in place, we will use this page to identify and explain the various ways you can follow La Salle. All Students, Faculty/Staff, Parents, Trustees, and Alumni have a login to the La Salle Website. Once logged in, individuals can sign up to receive email and/or SMS text notifications when news items and athletic scores are posted. Individuals can also sign up for reminders of calendar events.
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" and is a format for delivering regularly changing Web content. Many news-related Websites, Blogs, and other online publishers syndicate their content as an RSS Feed. All of La Salle's News and Announcements feeds area available as RSS feeds.
Individuals with Facebook accounts can connect with organizations on Facebook by becoming a "fan" similar to the way they become "friends" with other individuals. La Salle's Facebook Fan page is http://www.facebook.com/lschs.
Twitter is a social networking and microblogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as "tweets". Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters displayed on the author's profile page and delivered to the author's subscribers who are known as followers. From time to time the WEXP TV Station will stream events such as commencement exercises, important school functions, and athletic games.
