What is the purpose of the La Salle Auction?

It is the major parent fundraiser for the year, as well as being a fun-filled evening held every year on the first Saturday of November. The auction provides the funds necessary to support a variety of vital needs, including academic programs and campus needs, financial aid, and defraying the tuition of any La Salle student should his financially responsible parent become deceased, enabling him to continue his studies at La Salle.

When and where is the auction?

The auction will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at La Salle College High School (8605 Cheltenham Avenue, Wyndmoor, PA 19038).  The event starts promptly at 6:00 PM with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, entertainment and competitive bidding. 

What is the ticket price?

Tickets to the event are $100 per person.

Can I afford this event?

Absolutely!!! Auction items cover a wide range of prices from $25 and up. Why not consider going in on a large item with a group of friends.

How do I bid?

A new twist for silent auction bidding this year! BidPal is a handheld device that allows wireless bidding. Your own personal BidPal allows you to:

  • Bid anytime and from anywhere during the silent auction
  • See all item information and current bid status
  • Receive outbid alerts and re-bid
  • Personalize your item ‘watch’ list
  • View items won

Where do the auction items come from?

With so many organizations now depending on auctions to raise funds, merchants are inundated with requests for donations. As a result, most businesses give auction donations only to regular customers. The auction committee needs the support of all La Salle families to meet our goal this year. We ask that each family make a personal donation to either the live or silent auction AND solicit a donation of goods or services from a business with whom they deal on a regular basis or from whom they are making a major purchase.

What is a “Wish List?”

Do you want to make a donation but can’t think of anything? Just go to our “Wish List” on the La Salle Auction Website (www.lschs.org/auction) where you will find plenty of suggestions.

How can I advertise my business?

As an advertiser, your ad will be seen by hundreds of loyal La Salle alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends. Prices of ads range from $100 for a business card to $5,000 for a full-page color sponsorship. Contact the Ad Co-Chairs on the auction contact page www.lschs.org/advertising and download an Ad form.

How do donors benefit?

All donations are tax deductible. Donors are listed in the catalog distributed to all attendees. By donating, you know you made a meaningful contribution and also demonstrated your commitment to La Salle.

Volunteer! Everyone is welcome and there are plenty of areas where we need help. Contact one of the Co-Chairs listed on the auction contact web link or give the auction hotline a call.
