Event Recap:

Lasalle played the best high school team in New Jersey, Delbarton, and was overwhelmed by their speed and skill.  Within the first 2 minutes, a Delbarton forward got a pass on the left side of the goal and was able to beat goalie, Andrew King, on the short side.  With 6 minutes left in the first period, Delbarton went on the power play and after moving the puck quickly in the zone found an open player at the side of the net for a back-door goal.  The first period ended 2-0 with Lasalle being outshot 4-1.

In the second period, Ryan Williams found himself on a 2 on 1 with Brendan Jaquay.  The Delbarton defender played great position between the two Explorers.  Williams waited and waited, the Delbarton defender went down to block any pass, but Williams was able to send the puck passed the defender's stick to Jaquay who shot the puck into the supposed  empty net.  However, the goalie somehow got his pad on the puck preventing the goal.  Soon after, Delbarton went on the power play again and took advantage, making the score 3-0.  Delbarton scored again at the 2:40 mark to make the score 4-0.  With less than 2 minutes to go in the period, Lasalle had a face off in the Delbarton zone.  Tim Feoli tied up his man at the face-off dot.  Brett Supinski entered the circle and picked up the puck.  He took a shot short-side and beat the goalie.  Lasalle went into the locker room down 4-1 and holding some momentum.

In the third, the game went back and forth at a fast pace for most of the period.  With 9:44 left in the game, Delbarton scored again.  Lasalle couldn't answer and the game ended 5-1 for Lasalle's second loss of the season.
