Internship Opportunities

La Salle Sports - Digital Content Internship

Do you dream of writing stories and content for La Salle Athletics? If you want to be featured on multiple La Salle social platforms, then this is the internship for you! As the La Salle Sports Social Media Intern, you will support the WEXPtv and Athletics Department. This internship offers the opportunity to learn and develop skills in digital communication and website maintenance on www.lschs.org and other LSCHS social media platforms. Applicants should have experience with content creation and elite knowledge of the La Salle Athletic Program.

Internships in the WEXPtv Media Program will provide qualified students with an assortment of valuable learning experiences and exposure to all facets of La Salle College High School. Interns will be assigned to events after school and occasionally some nights and weekends.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Produce 3-5 digital content pieces a week for La Salle Sports Twitter account and Instagram
  • Contribute to the overall digital content strategy for the WEXPtv Media Program
  • Help create, manage, and execute digital content calendar
  • Attend La Salle Varsity Games and Practices as assigned
  • Provide media content, score updates and live updates from La Salle Sporting Events
  • Participate in meetings and brainstorming sessions for upcoming projects
  • Ability to create digital graphics and produce video content for athletic games and events


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Teams
  • Demonstrated and strong understanding of digital and social media practices
  • High proficiency in written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter who is able to take initiative in a dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of La Salle Athletics preferred
  • Knowledge of a content management system preferred
  • Marketing or Communications students currently enrolled in Graduate or Undergraduate studies
  • Strong attention to detail

WEXPtv Digital Photography Internship

Do you like digital storytelling? Would you want to take photos for La Salle and build your own personal brand? If you want to be featured on multiple La Salle social platforms, then this is the internship for you! As the Digital Photography Intern, you will support the La Salle Community through taking pictures of various events and marketing materials. This internship offers the opportunity to learn and develop skills in digital photography and the production process in Adobe Creative Cloud. Applicants should have experience with content creation, Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and content management tools.

Internships in the WEXPtv Media Program will provide qualified students with an assortment of valuable learning experiences and exposure to all facets of La Salle College High School. Interns will be assigned to events after school and occasionally some nights and weekends.

  • Produce 2-4 events per week for WEXPtv Media Network and The Wisterian Newspaper
  • Contribute to the overall digital content strategy of La Salle College High School
  • Help Manage La Salle Photography Library
  • Attend events as assigned
  • Provide social media content of events
  • Participate in meetings and brainstorming sessions for upcoming projects


QUALIFICATIONS:

WEXPtv Video Production Internship

Full Job Description

As the Video Production Intern, you will be responsible for assisting with the planning of all elements as it relates to video production. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects. In addition, the intern should have knowledge of Camera Operation and Lighting, and Audio set-up. Interns will work both independently and in a team environment.


Internships with the WEXPtv Media Program will provide qualified students with an assortment of valuable learning experiences and exposure to all facets of a professional media team. Interns must be available occasionally to work events nights and weekends.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for shooting, editing, and creating original video content
  • Produce 2-4 videos per week for WEXPtv Media Network and Social Media
  • Fulfill footage requests from members of the La Salle Community
  • Shoot and edit short form video for social media
  • Design and creation of audio/video content and graphics for in-school events, web site and social
  • Logging and archiving footage
  • Create original content
  • Assist in the creative planning for videos for Institutional Advancement and Admissions Offices

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Teams
  • High proficiency in written and verbal communication skills

Graphic Design Internship

This graphic design internship offers the opportunity to learn and develop skills in digital communication and website maintenance on www.lschs.org and other LSCHS social media platforms. Applicants should have experience with content creation and elite knowledge of the La Salle College High School Brand.

Internships in the WEXPtv Media Program will provide qualified students with an assortment of valuable learning experiences and exposure to all facets of La Salle College High School. Interns will be assigned to events after school and occasionally some nights and weekends.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support in the development and branding of our website, including the creation of custom illustrations, photography, and other digital elements as needed
  • Work with the Marketing team to develop, update, and execute brand guidelines
  • Create materials, both print and digital, with new brand guidelines to support the overall needs of the team, align with marketing initiatives and within our company values.
  • Assist in defining and mapping out social media features and releases within the brand guidelines.

Web Site Management Internship

The Web Site Internship offers the opportunity to learn and develop skills in digital communication and website maintenance on www.lschs.org and other LSCHS social media platforms. Applicants should have experience with content creation and elite knowledge of the La Salle College High School Brand.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Help to maintain La Salle's web presence at www.lschs.org
  • Research, monitor, and help to maintain third party sites (niche)
  • Update La Salle's website calendar
  • Prioritize jobs in ticket system
  • Work in tandem with office staff to create digital graphics for use in newsletters
  • Participate in meetings and brainstorming sessions for upcoming projects
  • Write web site content as needed


QUALIFICATIONS:

Audio Content Creator Internship

La Salle College High School's WEXPtv Media Program is looking for audio producers and engineers or it's emerging podcast network. This internship offers the opportunity to learn and develop skills in audio production and online media. Applicants should have experience with content creation and elite knowledge of La Salle College High School.

Internships in the WEXPtv Media Program will provide qualified students with an assortment of valuable learning experiences and exposure to all facets of La Salle College High School. Interns will be assigned to events after school and occasionally some nights and weekends.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with set-up for audio recordings and our many podcast series;

• Edit podcast episodes and other audio features using Adobe Audition or other tools

• Assist with publishing podcast episodes on our website and other platforms;

• Assist with set-up and editing of video interviews; search for B-roll and assist with pre-production research as needed;

• Post and curate video and audio content to our websites, social media platforms, and other content delivery networks;

• Assist our developers, producers, and designers with other tasks as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Basic working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications - especially Audition; familiarity with Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and/or Photoshop also a plus;
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, including operating in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities; •
  • Strong attention to detail, initiative, and follow through skills; • Interest in the La Salle College High School Community
