We invite everyone in the La Salle community to spend time experiencing the creative work of our students.
Much of the work that we are showing was completed before March 11th, the day when the actions of a normal school day came to an abrupt halt.
Additionally, we have decided to share some of the work that was done from home, in isolation, with limited materials and less “in real time” feedback and relatively no peer interaction.
The work done before and after the Covid outbreak shows an adjustment in material choices and in some cases, in content. What did not change was the need for our students to express themselves in making something.
Whatever the circumstance is, creating a pause in the day and slowing down, is to allow a moment for something else to happen, in the quiet of making something uniquely one’s own.
We are grateful that some of our students’ works were exhibited in the Montco and tri-County Area High School Art Shows in early Spring 2020. We missed showcasing their talents in the Annual Archdiocese Exhibit and in our own 37th Annual La Salle Arts Festival, along with missing the live Music Performances that mark the end of the school year celebration. We hold out the hope to be able to rejoice in our students’ talents in person again soon.
We hope you enjoy the artwork.
