Upon the guidance of the search committee and recommendation of Mr. James Fyke, Brother James Butler, FSC has approved the appointment of Robert Zanneo to succeed Joseph Parisi as Athletic Administrator at La Salle College High School.
Bob has taught mathematics and coached basketball at La Salle since 2012, working with student-athletes of various grade levels in the classroom and on the courts. Bob currently coaches the JV Basketball and the JV Tennis teams. For the last three years, he has worked with Joe Parisi as an Assistant Athletic Director, where he further demonstrated his attention to detail and dedication to La Salle.
“I am excited to have Bob Zanneo join the administrative team and lead our large and successful athletic program. A consummate professional, Bob’s experience and steady presence will be an asset to our coaches and student-athletes alike. His experience, work ethic, and poise will serve him well as he embarks on this new phase of his career.”

La Salle teachers are called to teach minds and touch hearts. Bob has served La Salle students as a Kairos Leader, Urban Immersion Leader, and Summer Service Leader. He has also supported the youth of Philadelphia as a golf camp counselor for the Philadelphia Department of Recreation. In addition, Bob officiates PIAA football and basketball games.
“Bob Zanneo began his teaching career at La Salle the same year I commenced my service as president. During those nine years, I have watched Bob grow from a rookie teacher and coach to an experienced faculty leader, expert in his field of mathematics, and highly capable as a coach and motivator of young men. Bob has willingly taken on progressive responsibilities at La Salle, including membership on the search committee for our new academic dean, showing vision, conscientiousness, and attention to detail and to people in everything he does. One of the last faculty hires Joe Marchese made as principal, he grew into a seasoned professional in the Mike O’Toole years. It is now fitting he becomes one of the first administrators Jim Fyke brings on board to assist him with these significant responsibilities, so impactful on our young men’s development.”

A two-time Freedom Conference Champion recognized for his excellent academic achievements, Bob was on the MAC Academic Honor Roll for four years and won the Lehigh Valley Scholar Athlete Award in both 2010 and 2011.
“Bob Zanneo has demonstrated excellent skills during his time here. Bob has been organized and enthusiastic as both a math teacher and a coach. He relates well to parents, other coaches, his students, and student-athletes. I’m confident he will take the La Salle Athletic Department to the next level.”

“As a life-long athlete, teacher, and coach, it is an honor and privilege that the administration chose me for this position. I am excited to take over and oversee a very successful athletic program and my hope is that I can take all that I have learned in the classroom as a teacher and on the basketball court as a player and coach to help our student athletes and coaches take our prestigious programs to the next level. I look forward to this challenge and opportunity for years to come!”
