Congratulations to the Class of 2020

La Salle College High School welcomed the 263 members of the Class of 2020 as official alumni of the school during an Alumni Induction Ceremony on Saturday morning, May 30, 2020. The ceremony was streamed live from the Lourdes Grotto at www.lschs.org/wexptv. Christopher Meager ’89, President of the Alumni Association, addressed the Class, as did Andrew Thomas Talone, a member of the senior class who was chosen to speak at the event.

A Baccalaureate Mass will be celebrated in July and Brother James Butler, FSC, President, will preside over Commencement Exercises. The Valedictorian will be James Henry de Luca of Fort Washington and the Salutatorian will be Andrew John Carabello of Oreland.

The Class of 2020 represented students from 91 different grade schools and 63 zip codes (along with China and Switzerland) and includes three National Merit Finalists, 11 National Merit Commended Students, and 81 members of the National Honor Society. The Class of 2020 applied to 286 colleges and universities in 39 states, the District of Columbia, Canada, China, England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales, and 73% of the Class was accepted to one of the Top 50 Most Competitive Colleges and Universities. 80% of the Class of 2020 earned over $48.3 million in documented scholarships and grants and 99% of the graduates are enrolled at 91 colleges and universities in 21 states along with the District of Columbia and England. Of these 91 colleges and universities, 51 are private institutions (18 of which are Catholic colleges or universities), five are Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education public universities, and three are Pennsylvania state-related universities.
