La Salle Community Sets School-Record With Over 28,000 Items Collected For Our Thanksgiving Food Drive

Our #EveryCanCounts Thanksgiving Food Drive led by our Ministry and Service Team collected 28,588 non-perishable food items from November 19-26 to break the school-record for the amount of items received in the annual drive.

The Food Drive started in 2009 with a collection of over 7,000 items - a amazing outpouring of support over the last decade helped us set a new record this year.

Twenty-one homerooms collected over 500 cans each, with homeroom 10B collecting a record 2,512 items.

The items collected will help many of those in need this holiday season, including - St. Vincent's Parish in Germantown, St. Joan of Arc Parish, and our own Homeless Outreach Program.

In addition - due to the immense amount of support of the drive - La Salle will be donating 12,500 items to Philabundance through the annual WMMR Preston and Steve Campout for Hunger.

Students will be delivering the items on Tuesday, December 3rd - listen for the Explorers on the 93.3 FM that morning live from XFinity Live! For more information, visit:
