Sean Colgan '73 Coaches the USRowing Men's Eight to a Gold Medal at the 2011 Pan American Games

La Salle College High School alumnus Sean Colgan '73, coached the USRowing Men's Eight (M8+) to a gold medal last month at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara. In 1979 Colgan won a gold medal in the same event before becoming a member of the 1980 USA Olympic team.

Held every four years in the year preceding the Olympic Games, the Pan American Games features competition in 30 sports. More than 6,000 athletes from 42 nations are expected to participate.
