The La Salle College High School Indoor Track & Field team capped their season by finishing 12th at the Pennsylvania State Championships at Penn State University.

The day was full of season bests, personal bests, and a school record. The top finish of the meet went to the Distance Medley Relay team of 1200m leg Patrick Grant, 400m leg Michael Bishof, 800m leg Stefan Sutton, and 1600m anchor Brendan Bilotta. The foursome ran a season best of 10:32.39 good for US #29. La Salle has now run the DMR at the Indoor State Championship 3 times in the past 7 years and has two championships and one runner-up, along with the two fastest DMR times in the history of the State Championship meet.

La Salle earned two other State medals - senior captain Brendan Bilotta ran a personal best of 4:19.57 in the mile (believed to be the #3 time in school history) to place 6th. And junior Eddie Eason jumped 13'6" to finish in a tie for 7th place in his first ever trip to a State Championship.

Additionally, sophomore Charles Headen had a big day. Charles ran a personal best of 7.01 for 60m in the trial heats to qualify for the semifinals. He then ran 7.04 in the semis to finish 9th in the State - just a mere 0.02 away from qualifying for the 8 man final. Charles then ran a school record of 22.72 in the 200m to place 13th in that event. And he then capped off his day by anchoring the 2nd fastest 4x200m relay team in school history.

The team of Levi Hardy, Shane Lewis, Tabriz Bumpas, and Headen ran a season best 1:33.74 (just off the school record of 1:33.68 set at the State meet last year). Senior captain Hardy also placed 25th in the 60m HH with a time of 8.68. The team has finished no worse than 12th in the State since 2011.

La Salle Track &Field will now transition to the Outdoor season. They open the Outdoor season at home with PCL Meet #1 on Monday, March 31st.
