Jimmy Herron '15 Sets New City Football Record
Jimmy Herron '15 set a new City record for career touchdown catches on Saturday, September 28, 2014 when he caught his eighth touchdown pass of the season and the 29th of his varsity career. The 33-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Kyle Shurmur '15 came late in the 4th quarter and gave the Explorers their final points of the evening as they went on to defeat The McDonogh School (MD) by a score of 31-20. Herron had tied the record the previous weekend with two touchdown catches in a 27-8 win over Malvern Prep. The previous record of 28 career touchdown catches was set in 2010 by Brad Wilson of Delaware Valley Charter High School.
