WEXP Represented at KYW Newstudies Program For Second Consecutive Year
Colin Friday '15 and John "Carter" Fillman '15 will represent WEXP TV at the program held at KYW 1060 AM studios in Downtown Philadelphia.

Colin Friday '15, Student Executive Producer for WEXP and Carter Fillman '15, Social Media Producer for the Sports Information Club and WEXP, have both been selected for the 46th Annual KYW Newstudies Program held during four Saturdays in the fall from October 18th through November 15, 2014.

Since 1968, KYW Newsradio has given high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to learn about the inner workings of a major market radio station with the Newstudies student reporter program.

Students in the program will learn reporting, news writing, editing and interviewing skills from KYW Newsradio managers, editors, reporters and anchors. At the end of the program, all students will have the opportunity to write, record and edit a news story which will air on KYW 1060 AM in late November.

This is the 2nd year WEXP has been represented at the Newstudies Program. Last year, Chris Jastrzembski '14 was selected to the program and earned the Mark Drucker Memorial Internship which gave him the opportunity to intern at KYW 1060AM this past summer. He is currently a freshman studying at the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
