Tennis Teams Wins 6th Consecutive City Championship
The Explorers advance to the PIAA State Team Playoffs for the 6th straight season and will face Radnor on May 12th.

The La Salle College High School Varsity Tennis Team defeated Public League Champion Central High School 4-1 to win the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) District 12 - City Championship.

In singles action, Andrew Lutschaunig defeated Ivan Dokov 6-1, 7-5. Franz Wagner fell to Tyrel Cherry in three sets 3-6, 6-1, 3-6. Eric Bunting defeated Jason Taing 6-1, 6-0.

In doubles action, Jared Bunch and Luke DeAngelis defeated Phil Nguyen and Trevor Valentine 6-2, 6-0. Mike DeAngelis and Nick Ventresca defeated Anthony Gonch and Louis Tiang 4-6, 6-1, 7-6.

With the team win, the Explorers advance to the PIAA State Team Playoffs for the 6th straight season. They will play the #4 seed from District 1 Radnor High School at 12:00pm on Tuesday, May 12th at the Legacy Youth Tennis and Education Center (formerly Arthur Ashe) in East Falls.
