The 2016 Golf season was a successful one for La Salle College High School. After completing the regular season undefeated, the team captured their 14th PCL championship and their second consecutive crown. All eight members who competed were given All-Catholic Honors.
The 2017 season will get underway Monday, August 21 against St. Joseph's Prep. That will only be the start of a tough schedule for La Salle. Head Coach Marty Jackson stated, "we are playing a strong out of league schedule which includes home and away matches against Penn Charter, Malvern, and Episcopal Academy."
Within the Catholic League, the matches to look out for will be the battles against St. Joes Prep.
La Salle brings back an experienced group returning seven all catholic members Matt Acker, TJ Chaykosky, Frank Gregor, Bud Hansen, Steve, Lorenzo, Tim Lorenzo, and Sean O'Neill. Key returning seniors include Alex Parlanti and Matt Quirk.
The expectations from the coach are to compete for a state title. The key to a successful season will be from the competition. Jackson wants to see the "competitions within the team will be fierce. Looking for mental toughness when you don't have your A game going. Growth and maturity need to be our assets."
